Indie Theatrical is a Tony™ and Grammy™ nominated investment and developmental production team specializing in live and recorded theatrical entertainment. Co-founded by Broadway actor Louis Hobson, and producer Jacob Groshong, Indie has established partnerships with artistic and industry leaders across the globe to create award winning productions, while forging new paths in business sustainability and access to theater.

Louis Hobson
Co-Founder & Executive Producer
Mr. Hobson is a Tony™ and Grammy™ nominated producer and has been instrumental in establishing the new "Manga Musical" genre, leading Frank Wildhorn's premiers of Your Lie In April on the West End, and the smash hit Death Note in Concert at the London Palladium. He recently produced pop culture icon Shaun Cassidy’s sold out concert show, The Magic of A Midnight Sky, at NYC’s 54 Below, and this season received a Tony™ nomination and Outer Critic Circle Award for co-producing the 7-time Tony nominated hit play, John Proctor is the Villain on Broadway.
As a music producer, he served as executive producer of Burt Bacharach and Steven Sater’s 2022 Grammy™ nominated new musical album, Some Lovers, and the original West End cast recording of Your Lie In April, released by Warner Records.
As an actor and singer, Mr Hobson, appeared in the original Broadway casts of the Tony and Pulitzer Prize winning Next to Normal, and Bonnie & Clyde, was a favorite of late film maker Lynn Shelton (Laggies and Outside In), and appeared opposite Viggo Mortensen in the Oscar-nominated Captain Fantastic.

Co-Founder Jake Groshong was part of the producing team of the 7-time Tony nominated John Proctor is the Villain on Broadway, West End premier of Your Lie In April, and Death Note in Concert.
He produced the critically acclaimed and award-winning world premieres of Ernest Shackleton Loves Me and Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog. He also produced Burt Bacharach’s Some Lovers and the new musical, UnCivil, as well as hit Las Vegas headliners Tenors of Rock and Hedwig and the Angry Inch starring Jinkx Monsoon. In addition to currently developing and producing The Song of Bernadette, Death Note West End, Reunion, Your Lie In April and The Magic of a Midnight Sky, Mr. Groshong serves as the CEO of Playing for Change Foundation, which works in over 20 countries across the globe helping young people in need to rise up through the music and arts education of their culture.
